Say Cheese

I made a delicious double crust peach cobbler last night with THE BEST fresh peaches.  I actually had to be told to stop smelling them and get to work!  I didn’t take a picture of my creation because, well, I didn’t feel like it.  (Besides, my mother’s kitchen isn’t ideal for photo ops.)

A few months ago I came across this article about taking pictures of your food.  Made me laugh a little; made me think a little.  It’s interesting to me that this is what our culture is doing now (including me).  It makes sense though.  We’ve been given a new mode to continue our self-expression, much like with the variety of our wardrobe.  And what we eat (and subsequently take a pictures of) does communicate something of ourselves to the world around us, prosaic as it may be.  But like with our wardrobes, our meals (and photos) can have as much panache as we desire.
