For the 2010 London Design Festival, artist Stuart Haygarth was commissioned to create an installation. And did he ever. “Framed” uses picture frames, over 600 meters of said frames, to line the grand staircase leading to the Architecture Galleries of the Victoria and Albert Museum. He cut, mitered, sanded, and painted each one — some were even gold leafed. Read more here.
