We are still on vacation…and having the best rest ever. I however, cannot be too far from my camera and computer for too long. I also wanted to share one of my new favorite hotels… in San Antonio of all places. It has been AGES since I’ve visited San Antonio and I was so glad to find a boutique hotel that shared my “mature sensibilities!” Hotel Havana was designed by Liz Lambert of Hotel San Jose & El Cosmico fame (both Texas hotels). It was unique but not trendy and felt perfectly curated. From the minimal front lobby to the black and white movies playing on the patio, Havana was not only chic but in a great location. It’s right on the non-touristy part of the River Walk, but close enough to the Alamo and the rest of downtown for a quick walk. We met a local friend for drinks at the Hotel’s restaurant and bar, Ocho, and I can personally attest to the fact that the margaritas definitely live up to the hype. Although we were only there for one night, we really, really enjoyed our stay and will again next time we’re in S.A.
