just keep swimming

I’m trying to find peace in the midst of crazies at work; it is 5 weeks until tax day so folks are beginning to lose their minds (and manners!)  I’ve been keeping my sanity by listening to one of my favorite bands Great Lake Swimmers.  And I can’t wait to hear their new album due out at the beginning of next month (just in time to carry me through the home stretch that is the first two weeks of April!)

(Listen to more of their music here.)

cleverly colorful

I’m loving these two colorful, creative, clever videos.  (The patience some people have!) The first was created by Jonathan Chong (a.k.a VJ Dropbear) for the Melbourne based artist Hudson for the track ‘Against the Grain’.

The second video is ‘In Your Arms’ by Kina Grannis, created by Greg Jardin (using a bazillion jelly beans!)

(And I love the behind-the-scenes video too:)

laughing my head off

What is it about babies and animals that I find so damn funny?  Well, to tell the truth, I usually hate things like American’s Funniest Home Videos.  I just get annoyed.  But this morning as I sat on the couch sipping my tea watching CNN I found myself making an unfamiliar morning noise: laughing.  Cracking up actually.  They did a story on this blog.  This is why I love the internet.
